What is happening in your local music scene right now?
One of the most amazing musical experiences I've had recently was at Mantoryuji Temple in Suzaka, Nagano.
The sound system and lighting are carefully designed down to the smallest details, creating a space that can be fully experienced through all five senses. I also love that the regular events attract many younger people. It's a fascinating place where sound, light, and prayer come together, embodying a new way of thinking about what a temple can be.
I also love the daytime atmosphere, when elementary school kids casually drop by to hang out.

High Village Hakuba— 白馬 / Hakuba
I haven't been there yet, but High Village Hakuba in Hakuba has caught my attention. It seems to offer food as well as regular parties, so it's definitely somewhere I want to check out.

What are your musical roots?
I was a huge fan of SPEED when I was in elementary school, and after discovering TLC, one of the artists they were influenced by, I became interested in Black music. I especially played their second album, CrazySexyCool, on repeat.
From there, I started exploring electronic sounds such as house and techno, but I still feel that R&B and soul remain at the foundation of the way I listen to bass.

Which artists or labels are you most excited about right now?
- 1.The FactorsAn electric-acoustic duo formed by singer-songwriter SAKi and guitarist/composer Jody Tenku. Their music is deeply cleansing and restorative. I really want you to hear the clarity and strength of SAKi's vocals live.
- 2.Midnight TrafficA techno DJ and producer based in Hyderabad, India. The precision and breadth of the sonic territory he explores are incredibly mindful, making me feel as though I'm swimming in a vast ocean. His music always makes me want to dive deep into his world and keep swimming.
- 3.Voision XiA jazz vocalist, lyricist, composer, and music producer based in Shanghai, China. It's jazz, but unlike anything I've ever heard before. Whether she is speaking, singing, or playing, she draws you into an extraordinary world of sound.
