What is happening in your local music scene right now?
London is overflowing with all kinds of music, and it feels like a city where new movements are always emerging across genres and communities. In the underground scene I've been looking for lately, Into the Burrow stands out. They put on festivals and parties, and everything, from the crew's style to the lineups and even the decoration of the space, shows real taste. They're seriously cool.
What local spots would you recommend?
Listening Bar
Shai Space— Peckham, London
A DIY space that feels like an oasis in the middle of the city. It's set up like a living room, with cushions and tea ready for you, and the best part is how cozy it is, you can lie down and enjoy the music.
Record Shop
Palace Vinyl— Brixton, London
A record shop specializing in electronic music. The local feel is the best. The regular old guys are always hanging out there, and it's fun having them tell me about all kinds of music. Nobody says a thing no matter how many hours you stay!
Café
The Hill Station Café— Nunhead, London
My favorite café, close to home, where I often go to work. It sits on top of Telegraph Hill, and they hold jam sessions on weekends too.

What are your musical roots?
The first artists that really struck me were Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca, Trüby Trio, and others like them. I was drawn to downtempo and nu jazz, to the way organic rhythms layer with electronic sounds, and from there I started listening across genres to music with its own unique groove and atmosphere.
Which artists or labels are you most excited about right now?
- 1.SalamandaRight now I'm really into Salamanda, who are based in Seoul. They're included in this mix too. They combine samples, synths, and vocals in such an organic way, creating their own floating sound. Just the best!
