A one-hour mix by 彩-Saya (Okinawan Electronic Shojo Saya), blending Okinawan music with her own vocals over electronic sounds, created as a prayer for peace. The journey begins with music themed around my homeland, Okinawa.
Tracks 1–3: The mix opens with pieces by Joe Hisaishi, evoking Okinawa’s sea, nature, and social issues. It transitions to a track by Ryuichi Sakamoto, fusing Okinawan folk, funk, and Balinese kecak, and continues with my own song inspired by Okinawa’s spirits and ghosts, bridging the journey from Okinawa to the wider world.
Tracks 4–6: The sonic voyage flows from a Norwegian songstress to Brazilian rhythms.
Tracks 7–9: The mix reflects the current global tensions, wars, and conflicts through poignant compositions.
Tracks 10 and beyond: It concludes with music symbolizing the end of war and the arrival of hope, offering a sense of healing and peace.
As the world grows increasingly perilous, this mix is my heartfelt prayer for the day peace can return. Please enjoy this musical journey of reflection and hope.
