What is the concept behind this Showcase?
I curated a lot of tracks by artists who hack science and use music to express the distance between themselves and the world. Approach it the way you would reading a book or watching a film. In front of good speakers, ideally somewhere you can play it loud. It's really not suited for background listening. This isn't about relaxing, it's an adventure.
What are the highlights of this Showcase?

A strange track where Richie Hawtin takes an already over-the-top original and remixes it into something even more over-the-top. Ten minutes that make you wonder what state of mind the artist was in when they made it.

- 3.黄金鱗讃揚— 芸能山城組The obsession with recording quality here is incredible. Rather than going through a recorder, the sound picked up by the microphone is cut directly onto the record. If you could run it all the way through an analog signal chain, I imagine you'd get a complete reproduction of the actual sound waves from the moment of recording. In other words, time itself is sealed inside it...
On the genres and styles featured in this Showcase
Experimental in the broadest sense. I pulled together a lot of tracks by these wonderfully mad, hop-skipping explorers I can't help but love. Many of the artists have roots in Japan.
