Operating under three aliases: DJ MOTIVE, P.C.M, and deadbundy.

A group consisting of:
- MOTIVE (programming, sampler, keys)
- Masahiro Yamaguchi (vocals, guitar; formerly of HEPBURN)
- Junichi Kinoshita (vocals, guitar, keys; from CHAMPA)
- Higashi (drums; from teepeee).
Known for their unique blend of UK/US indie rock-inspired guitar sounds with sampling and dreamy electronic elements.
Released their debut album, “deadbundy,” in 2013.
Put out 12-inch records through Germany’s hell yeah label, including “I LOVE YOU” by Weldon Irvine and “WISH IT WOULD RAIN” by Roger Joseph Manning Jr., via HMV.
In July 2023, released their third album, “NEU RADIO.“
A wide selection of EPs and albums is available for streaming on various platforms.

JAZZ / ROCK / TECHNO / HIPHOP / BREAKBEATS / AMBIENT etc...
Which artists or labels are you most excited about right now?
- 1.54 ULTRAI've been listening to them a lot lately. I really love their Chicano soul-inspired sound.
- 2.deadbundyThis is the unit I'm part of. All three of our albums are classics, if you ask me.
Gifu's Local Scene
What is happening in your local music scene right now?
I'm really happy to see local government starting to engage with cultural communities like ours. In fact, I just ordered This Must Be the Place: How Music Can Make Your City Better by Shain Shapiro today. I hope Japan becomes a place where the importance of culture is embraced and supported on a city-wide level.
