Haru no Yoi

Electronic musician Hirotaka Shirotsubaki, based in Kobe, quietly captures the glow of a spring evening, the hint of cherry blossoms, and fleeting moments of solitude slipping through the bustle, through ambient and drone soundscapes.

I like those moments when I step away from a cherry blossom gathering to use the restroom, and on my way back I slip through the lively crowd, filled with people and air lifted by the lantern-lit spring evening and the presence of sakura, and feel a brief sense of solitude.

I have selected ambient and drone pieces that I would want to listen to, or have listened to, in moments like that.
